FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does shipping cost, and when can I expect to receive my order?

Shipping anywhere in the United States is included. Prints arrive within one week once shipped. As Tim frequently finds himself in the Alaskan wilderness for days at a time, usual delivery time is within two weeks. If you need expedited or international shipping, please contact us.

Not seeing an image you would like printed?

Feel free to contact us with your request. All images on this website are available to print. Some instagram posts are taken on a phone and best enjoyed digitally.

What are the various paper and metal print options?

Every print is offered in one paper option and one metal option. Tim chooses for each photograph a glossy or matte finish. Most pictures of the northern lights and wildlife, for instance, look best with the glossy finish of a metallic paper print or glossy metal print. Most landscapes, on the other hand, take well to the more subdued matte finish of fine art paper or a matte metal print. The type of finish offered is listed on the page for each image.

The decision for you to make is between a paper or metal print:

a) Paper Prints - the classic paper, mat (optional), and frame look. Timeless. Note: matting and framing are not included.

i) Metallic Paper (glossy finish) - artist decision: most northern lights and wildlife images

ii) Fine Art Paper (matte finish) - artist decision: most landscape images

b) Metal Prints - dyes applied directly to a thin sheet of aluminum. Vivid colors, high contrast. Can make an image come to life and has been described as the closest printing technique to viewing an image on a backlit phone or computer screen. Creates a clean look with the image appearing to stand out a couple inches from the wall, backed by a “float mount” that is unseen by the viewer. Metal prints offer the convenience of arriving ready to hang up right away! Please note that glossy metal prints reflect quite a bit of light and may not be best for spaces in direct sunlight.

i) Metal (glossy finish) - artist decision: most most northern lights and wildlife images

ii) Metal (matte finish) - artist decision: most landscape images

Is framing available?

Yes, please contact us to inquire about pricing.

Metal prints: While metal prints arrive ready to hang up, custom frames are available for an elevated look.

Paper prints: Custom framing for paper prints is available for local Alaskan clients.

Want to make a custom order?

Custom sizes and framing may be available, depending on the image. Feel free to contact us with your request.

Will my print be signed by the artist?

No, not all prints are signed due to shipping costs between Alaska and the Lower 48. If you would be interested in a signed print, please contact us for shipping options. Fellow Alaskans, you are in luck - signed prints are available upon request. Please contact us upon placing your order to arrange for pickup or delivery.

Does Tim offer limited edition prints?

Not yet. All images are open editions (unlimited number of prints to be made of each size). Tim is currently working on future collections that will be offered as limited editions in the larger print sizes.
